Hey ppls,
It's finals week, and I don't feel like studying at the moment, so here's a blab for the week

Oh, "What's up with the title?" you might or might not ask? Well, that's sort of the basis for this weeks blab, so sit tight and be ready to hear rants from a college student XP
Ice. Man, do I hate it right now. It's nice to look at, but it really sucks when you have to go outside with it. This weekend, for some odd reason, it started snowing...hard. Because of that, after one night, it looked like it had been snowing for a few days, not a few hours. However, with snow comes ice...on the ground. However, having come from a place where it never snows, you can imagine how much experiene I had with such a thing. But after rushing to class, stepping on some ice, slipping on that ice, and landing sharply on my left knee (with the weight of a laptop, notebook and other things in by back pack)...well...let's say the message sank in quite quick -__-||
After that, you can also imagine how fun it was to get to class (at 8am) and how fun it is to jump in a 4ft high bed

So, moral of the story is: if you're coming to the mainland for school, do NOT step on the ice, unless you have crazy awesome balancing skills XP
Fire alarms...hahaha, someone's going to die!

haha, I kid...kinda...As you may have guessed, the fire alarm went off again (yesterday actually). But instead of seeing fire trucks rushing into the building to save some idiots from a raging blaze, I just had to stand outside, shivering in the harsh, bitting cold wind with other ppl, waiting for the ok to go back into the noisy building. So, if it wasn't the faulty fire alarms again, it was probably a kid with a death wish who did it

But, the fun/rant doesn't end there; b/c I had a quiz to study for for a class in two hours, I decided to walk up 8 flights of stairs (with my back pack w/ my lap top and other things) instead of waiting to go up in a packed elevator. But, after going up those 8 flights of stairs, I see that the fire alarm is still on and end up going back down (with a heavier load of Japanese books) only to find out that ppl just took forever to turn off the stupid alarm. You can imagine my mood as I took the elevator back up ^__^
Exams; don't we all hate them...wow...this is turning into some rant, huh?
Well that dreaded time of year has finally come: finals week. Luckily, I only really have 3 of them and one presentation for my Research and Creative Writing class. Also, the only one that's cumalitive is my Japanese one (which isn't too bad really). But, unfortunatly, my microbio teacher is a disorganized woman who drives me absolutly bonkers

Here we are, at the end of the quarter, stressing out about exams, and she announces that we have a lab report due on Wednesday. "What lab report?" I thought. "We always do them during the labs!" But, to top it off, she sends us an email that has a description of the parts of the lab report and a disorganized time line with a plan for us to be working on each part of the report starting 3 weeks ago. And after reading that she wanted us to write the introduction before class, that class being the day before my big presentation, you can imagine how happy I was ^___^
But, on the bright side, I can still do that prof's exam on Sunday (she tried to move it to Wednesday/tomorrow b/c a few kids planned their flights too early), so I only have to bust my brains out on 10 chs of Anthropology, all of my Japanese and a 25min presentation of a short story

Ah well, onto actual happy notes...
I just looked at my calander, and guess what? Today makes exactly 1 week till I get to come home. And honestly, I can't wait. I like my friends here and all, but being away from home for so long really makes me miss everyone back there...
So, I hope you guys at home are coming to DRAT next Friday (major props to Chibi for setting it up ^-^), 'cause I'm definatly showing up and staying for the whole time

Well...that's enough of a rant. Back to studying
See you guys soon,
~suiren
...I feel like I've answered this question around 10 times already XP

I'm visiting the high school around 2:15-3 on Thursday. Want to meet up there then?
